Overview:
Smart Fabrication’s workshop is fully equipped with a large, well-lit spray booth, complete with extraction unit and overhead crane. The spray painting division is well equipped to apply any paint from acrylic to enamel to 2-PAK, or any coating specifically required by the customer. Painting can be carried out within the Smart Fabrication workshop or at the customer’s site if so desired. We are equipped with compressed air fed breathing units for painting in confined spaces. We carry an expansive range of paint types and colours and are able to acquire customer specified paint on short notice.
Throughout Smart Fabrication’s short history, we have painted a wide variety of products, including shelves, equipment framework, jib posts, gantry cranes, 6,000 L diesel tanks, 30 tonne Roocon’s and 20,000 L water tanks. We are currently the finisher of choice for a local Hitachi branch; applying their own brand of polysiloxane 2PAK to excavator components: water pumps, alternators, starter motors and transmissions, exactly to their specifications.
In line with our ISO 9001:2008 quality system, all painting is carried out under strict guidelines. Whether it is a simple steel frame that will be dragged through the mud or a custom HQ V8 Holden Ute, all work is properly planned, prepared, carried out and inspected at each stage. This guarantees a quality product that will meet your expectations.
All painting is carried out in accordance with EPA guidelines and regulations. Our waste management process ensures that no paint materials enter the drains or contaminates the local watertable.
